He Puaawai Young Parents' Centre is a unique learning environment supporting young parents to continue their education while raising their children. We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Teacher Aide to join our team and support a student with vision impairment in their academic journey.

About the Role

As a Teacher Aide, you will:

  • Provide one-on-one educational, physical, and emotional support.

  • Adapt classroom materials into accessible formats (e.g., large print, tactile diagrams).

  • Assist with classroom engagement, note-taking, and organisation.

  • Support student wellbeing, inclusion, and mobility around the school.

  • Help develop resources and lesson adaptations tailored to individual needs.

  • Respect and incorporate te reo Maaori, tikanga, and cultural diversity.
