He Puaawai Young Parents' Centre is a unique learning environment supporting young parents to continue their education while raising their children. We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Teacher Aide to join our team and support a student with vision impairment in their academic journey.

About the Role

As a Teacher Aide, you will:

Provide one-on-one educational, physical, and emotional support.
Adapt classroom materials into accessible formats (e.g., large print, tactile diagrams).
Assist with classroom engagement, note-taking, and organisation.
Support student wellbeing, inclusion, and mobility around the school.
Help develop resources and lesson adaptations tailored to individual needs.
Respect and incorporate te reo Maaori, tikanga, and cultural diversity.
